The Darkroom Gallery
introduce the next exhibition high in color,
by Patrick Wack , a " Conceptual " photographer.
From 1st December 2015 to 27 February 2016 ,

entitled " vestibules " ...

The life of Patrick Wack is nothing less than a love affair with poetry. Born in Africa, the French photographer has been writing poetry since his youngest years to see his work published regularly.

Following a life-changing accident, where he ran the risk of losing his sight, Patrick Wack decides to give up writing and to snap in lieu of penning down the poetry of the world.

His camera would then become his new copybook. His enigmatic and unusual photographs reveal another vision of our daily lives, of our environment, even the most ordinary. His uncanny titles suggest more than they reveal a playful and idiosyncratic interpretation of his work.

He choses to print each of his piece only once with the idea to share with the “other” a moment of exception, an intimacy and evanescent complicity; Feelings that one can experience while also reading a poem. His photographs are not modified, retouched, or reframed after the shot.

His work has been internationally very well received as “conceptual art”.
